ACE’s underwriters have an innovative approach to their
business. Our underwriters are predominantly account
managers, coordinating and directing the activities of
claims, recoveries, credit control, systems and loss
management. They are dedicated to servicing our clients
by making the most effective use of these other ACE
services and in offering help and advice on matters
concerning import and export.
Our unique team of Master Mariners is experienced in all
aspects of cargo handling, transportation and marine
loss control. This specialist team can provide a variety
of marine technical support services, ranging from
general consultation to the organization and
implementation of a comprehensive Cargo Risk Management
Program.
We have an international network of ACE offices to issue
local policies where required. Even if local policies
are not issued, our colleagues abroad can still settle
claims promptly and professionally.
We are recognized as having a first class Marine Claims
team in London, focused on client service. This team
combines commercial reality with an in-depth expertise
that distinguishes our claims capabilities from that of
our competitors. When dealing with international claims,
the Marine Claims team is supported by our Global
Network.
Our ‘in-house’ recoveries department will ensure that
enquiries are investigated immediately when a loss is
reported in order to quickly protect our clients’ rights
against responsible third parties. Our Global Network of
recoveries staff will take the most effective action for
local situations.
We will also help to review the existing
and proposed transit contracts to check that all of your
rights are protected.
For
our larger corporate clients, we will allocate a
specialist team of dedicated account handlers, including
a Service Manager and representatives from each of their
disciplines. This provides focused points of contact and
enhances the communication process.
